Canal Park is a magnetic new public space on the site of the historic Washington Canal in the heart of D.C.’s Capitol  Riverfront neighborhood.  It is alive year around, with dancing fountains in the summer, an ice rink in winter, and an all-season restaurant.

Town Square entered the construction scene in time to make design changes that led to significant savings, allowed for ongoing revenue generation, and produced a livelier park.

Canal park in winter. The distinctive ice rink encourages neighbors to keep attending the park in the cold season.  It also drives traffic to the restaurant, and provides a revenue stream.
