A new Downtown is about to come to life in Newark as the elevated Mulberry Commons park, a $12 million investment by the City of Newark and local partners, will link Penn Station and the Prudential Center in Newark. The new 3-acre park will allow commuters, office workers, and residents to walk through a pleasant and active space while headed towards center town. New development is planned all around the park, which will help unite the Ironbound to the central business district.

The Newark Downtown District, which will be in charge of the new park, has selected TOWN SQUARE to help develop its operations plan and create a  program calendar that will celebrate Newark's rich cultural scene.
