Bryant Park is the place where placemaking started in America. Following a "to the point" report by anthropologist Willian "Holly" Whyte,

an extraordinary renewal of the park began. It focused on curing underuse of the space to drive away bad usage. Led by the Bryant Park Renovation Corporation, and inspired by quality European public spaces such as the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris and the Queen's Parks in London, the revitalization led to remarkable results.

Over the years, the park's usage boomed, and today it welcomes more than 8 million visitors a year. It is a true year round destination, hosts more than 1.000 events a year, employs over 100 staff, and the entirety of its $20 million a year budget comes from private sources. Taxpayers receive all the benefits of Bryant Park for free. The park is also an exceptional asset to nearby real estate, with no vacancies in office or retail spaces in its periphery, higher than market average rents, and a significant impact on new development of quality office and hotel space nearby.

Bryant Park is at the core of the renaissance of Midtown Manhattan and is beloved by New Yorkers. Our team was at the heart of the work of improving the park and developing the programs that made it such a success. We will apply this knowledge and technique to your benefit, as they are readily transferable to any public space.
