Fifth Avenue is the best known street and #1 retail market in the world. Flagship stores on Fifth can command sales upwards of $200 million per year. As head of the Fifth Avenue Association, our principal Jerome Barth piloted the renewal of the organization towards modern management practices and the development of a modern marketing engine for this extraordinary destination.

On Fifth Avenue, Jerome invited New York Fashion Week to show on the Avenue, produced the grandest holiday lights display in the City culminating in a spectacular installation at the Pulitzer Fountain - and earning two Windowswear awards in the process-

Working with architects FX Collaborative, Jerome and the Association proposed the first comprehensive plan to upgrade and reinvigorate Fifth Avenue in generations. The vision called for beautification of Fifth Avenue to ensure its ongoing success as a first rate Twenty-First Century public space with expanded sidewalks, rationalization of bus transit, safe bicycle lanes, lavish gardens, upgraded lighting, terraces and space for brand activations. This reenvisioned Fifth Avenue would retain its identity as a place for all New Yorkers, beloved by visitors, and the spine of commercial Midtown Manhattan.
